How to import from iPhoto to iMovie

You may have a lot of videos which are taken by your camera in iPhoto already, but have some troubles in importing them to iMovie for editing. You may found that you can't drag the video clips by click "File" then "Import movies". So, go ahead!

There has two ways to import video from iPhoto to iMovie.
The first is very easy, import the video to iPhoto, then open iMovie(be sure your iMovie is 09 or later version) , click the iMovie menu, select "Events Library", you will see the iphoto videos, import them.

The other method is a little clumsy. Just use a video converter to convert the video to those iMovie supported. such like MP4, MOV, DV, MPEG-1, 3GP, M4V, and MP3, WAV, AIFF audio files, etc. that would be perfect.

I. Save your iPhoto video on the specific location on your computer hard disk.
II.Download a Mac video converter, which could convert your videos from iPhoto to iMovie supported ones. I recommend Leawo, for I'm her fans and it's hard to find a free video converter for mac(click here to download free mac video converter).

Then install -> launch software -> add videos -> select MPEG-4, DV or MOV as the output formats -> start convert -> finished.

III. After converted, you can import the video to iMovie and for the further edit.

Step 1 Open the program. You can see some tabs at the top of the program.


Step 2 Click the "Page" tab. And you are in the working area. Choose a frame style you want at the right-bottom of the program.


Step 3 Drag and drop your photos from the file tree to the frame you chose. You can set the image size, background color, margin and round etc. I changed nothing.


Step 4 After you put all the photos, click "Edit" button below "Save". You will be lead to editing page. Choose a good photo frame from the bottom settings. I chose "Note 01". It looked perfect on my photo. Click "Save" button at the right bottom. Got what you have seen at the beginning.


Isn't it great? It is such an easy work to make creative photos. So no need to admire at designers any more. The key point is finding a suitable tool. Wish you like it.

Why I will not buy iPhone 4G?

Ok, iPhone 4 has launched with HD recording and new designed. But I am sure there is no reason for me to buy an iPhone 4G.
Yes, it can record and edit high definition videos. It use iOS 4. And its designing is improved with also 960 x 640 pixel resolutions retina display. But here is the resons why I will not buy an iPhone 4G.



1. It is so fashionable.

Apple used to be alternative, and that's the most laudable feature. At that time you may find you are special when you are with apple. But now, everybody are talking about iPhones, iPods and iPads. And there are so many iPhones in the street. It is no longer the sign of special.


2. It is anti-technology.

There is no Flash. And it is not open enough for developers. This means I will miss so many games, softwares and applications. And I have to buy every app from Apple store. This is unfair.
And most important, no flash means many of website can not be read on iPhone 4G. So it is anti-technology.


3. Its battery is not strong enough.

Want to recording high definition videos with iPhone just like a camcoder? That is impossible. Phone is just a phone. The better display and better cameras will run the battery out quicker. And the battery is not a replaceable one. So hd is just a fake value.


4. It is expensive.

The top-of-the-range Blackberry or Android handset are much cheaper than iPhone 4G. And I can get better experience with Android, such as multitasking and open.


5. Bad antenna.

Now everybody knows iPhone 4G has a bad antenna. Even a finger can cut off the call.
